De-escalation/ Nonviolent Communication Training
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a way of communicating that helps us express our needs and concerns in a way that others can more easily take them in. NVC is profoundly effective at getting people into connection and keeping them connected long enough to find solutions that are likely to meet everyone’s needs. This approach to communication also contributes greatly to the de-escalation of tense situations.
They are a group of skilled trainers who host a daily teleconference call where they teach occupiers how to use this connecting language with other occupiers, community members, and police. They also offer helpful strategies for creating efficient and compassionate working group meetings, as well as offer ways to use connecting language in promotions.
Call them at 347-304-9152 from 4:00-6:00 PM EST any day of the week. Or go to their website: www.occupyvoice.info to search for a local call-in number. What they offer is a gift, but your telephone service provider will charge what they usually charge you.
